Amadeus signs up for EC TOURISMlink project

Amadeus has signed a memorandum of understanding stating it will participate in the TOURISMlink project.

TOURISMlink is an initiative sponsored by the European Commission designed to facilitate the integration of tourism small and medium-sized business in global industrial value chains through innovative technologies.

The initiative was launched by Antonio Tajani, European Union commissioner vice-president responsible for directorate general enterprise & industry, and aims at strengthening the competitiveness of the European tourism industry, especially small and medium enterprises, through the development and implementation of new technology.

The members of the TOURISMlink Consortium are: ECTAA (European Travel Agents’ & Tour Operators’ Association), HOTREC (European trade association of Hotels, Restaurants & Cafes), Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, ITH (Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero) and ZN as company responsible for the communication.

Through this cooperation Amadeus shall act as advisor on business and technological matters that are relevant for the project and provide recommendations relating to relevant commercial and technological developments at different stages of the project.

The project includes connecting SMEs to global digital value chains through the development of simple, low-cost, easy to use and interoperable solutions.
