Neleem Arif has taken up the role of general manager with Aloft Palm Jumeirah.

He assumed the role with the four-star property with immediate effect.

In his role of general manager of the hotel, Arif will oversee the offerings of the hotel, and supervising operations of all departments and the Aloft Palm Jumeirah team.

Arif brings years of expertise from Marriott International having worked across Marriott properties in the United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates, including Leicester Marriott Hotel, JW Marriott, Marriott Al Forsan and Courtyard by Marriott.

His career in 2003 when he worked as a management graduate at the famed JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai for three years.

He was then promoted to the restaurant and bar manager, a role which he excelled in for two years.

After amassing years of experience in the United Arab Emirates, Arif then moved briefly to United Kingdom, in January 2010 where he was appointed as the director of operations at the Northampton Marriott Hotel.
