Launch of low-cost flights to Moscow prompts 99% spike in traveller interest
Next Monday marks the launch of a new flight route from London to Moscow, operated by a major low-cost carrier, and TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website, can reveal that the Russian capital has already seen a substantial uplift in traveller interest. Tickets for the flights went on sale in January this year and in the period immediately following this, Moscow accommodations saw a 99% increase in traveller searches on TripAdvisor.co.uk.
Rising cost of APD hits British travellers
The results of the 2013 TripAdvisor Flights Survey have reveal British travellers’ attitudes to the continuing rise of Air Passenger Duty, and the impending lift on liquid restrictions in hand-luggage across EU airports. TripAdvisor announces America’s Top 10 hotel spas
TripAdvisor today announced the results of its wellness travel survey of more than 1,100 U.S. travelers, together with the top 10 hotel spas in the U.S. Thirty percent of travelers surveyed plan to take a trip dedicated to rejuvenating their body, mind or spirit at the beginning of 2013. Of those traveling, 49 percent will stay in a hotel, 17 percent will stay in a vacation rental, and 16 percent plan to stay in the home of family or friends.
