This week, TAP Air Portugal celebrated the 75th anniversary of its first flight to the island of São Tomé. To mark the occasion, celebrations were held both at the boarding gates of Humberto Delgado Airport and at São Tomé International Airport. In Lisbon, passengers received chocolate cakes from São Tomé and a postcard with an image of the first flight, numbered TP522.

The new dishes include Maronesa Beef, Confit Codfish, Chickpea and Green Sauce Salad, as well as a range of sweet treats, which showcase Portugal’s fantastic regional gastronomy and TAP’s commitment to inflight dining excellence.

This summer, TAP is increasing its offer to destinations in major markets, such as Brazil and North America. In Brazil, six flights a week will be added to Recife, for 13 weeks. For Fortaleza and Rio de Janeiro, there will be two more flights a week, giving the routes a total of nine and 12 flights a week, respectively.
