TAP Air Portugal selects new JFK Terminal 6 for future operations
JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), the company selected by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to build and operate John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new world-class Terminal 6 (T6), and TAP Air Portugal, (TAP) the national carrier of Portugal, today announced that TAP will make T6 its future home at JFK airport, joining codeshare partner JetBlue and Star Alliance airlines such as Air Canada, ANA, Avianca, Lufthansa and SWISS in the state-of-the-art terminal as part of its phase one opening in 2026.

TAP Air Portugal is celebrating the end of the year with a mega campaign for all of the airline’s destinations, offering special fares for those who want to start 2026 by discovering new destinations or revisiting their favourites.
TAP LAUNCHES NEW ROUTE BETWEEN PORTO AND TERCEIRA
TAP Air Portugal will inaugurate a new route between Porto and Terceira on 29 March 2026, with four weekly flights. On the same date, it will also launch additional connections between Porto and Funchal, increasing from 14 to 18 flights per week. The new route between Porto and Terceira, operated with an A320neo aircraft with a capacity for 168 passengers, will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing from Porto at 15:20 and arriving in Terceira at 17:00. On the return, the flight leaves the Azorean island at 17:50 and arrives in Invicta at 21:15. (local times). Connections between Porto and Funchal will also be reinforced from 29 March, with four more flights per week between the two cities, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing from Porto at 12:10 and arriving in Funchal at 14:15. On the return journey, the flight departs from Cristiano Ronaldo Airport at 15:05 and arrives at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport at 17:05. TAP is therefore strengthening its fundamental role in mobility between Porto and the northern region and the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira, once again highlighting its contribution to national cohesion. TAP AIR PORTUGAL POSTS PROFIT OF €126 MILLION IN THE THIRD QUARTER
TAP recorded a positive net profit of 126 million euros in the third quarter of this year and made a profit of 55.2 million euros in the first nine months of 2025. Until September (9M25), TAP carried a total of 12.7 million passengers, which represents an increase of 2.9% compared to the same period in 2024 (9M24). The number of flights operated registered a slight year-on-year growth of 0.7%, in line with the previous period. Capacity increased 3% compared to 9M24, while RPKs grew 4.6%, resulting in a 1.3 p.p. improvement in Load Factor, which reached 84.2% in 9M25.
TAP IS THE OFFICIAL AIRLINE OF TEAM PORTUGAL
TAP Air Portugal has established a partnership with the Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP) and the Portuguese Paralympic Committee (CPP) through an agreement that makes the national airline the Official Airline of Team Portugal and Olympic Partner until the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. This agreement covers the entire Olympic cycle, including transport for the Portuguese delegation to the 2028 Games, as well as to qualifying events, training camps and international preparation missions.
TAP AIR PORTUGAL LAUNCHES NEW ROUTE TO CURITIBA
TAP Air Portugal announces the launch of a new route that will connect Lisbon to Curitiba, capital of Paraná, Brazil, from July 2, 2026. The airline will operate three weekly flights between the Portuguese capital and Curitiba - Afonso Pena International Airport, further reinforcing its leadership in connections between Europe and Brazil. The flights will be operated with the A330-200 aircraft with capacity for 269 passengers, through the route Lisbon (LIS) – Curitiba (CWB) – Rio de Janeiro (GIG) – Lisbon (LIS), on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Sales start on November 11th.

TAP Air Portugal received two awards in Sardinia, Italy, at the World Travel Awards 2025 (WTA 25) ceremony, as Best European Airline to Africa and Best European Airline to South America. TAP AIR PORTUGAL REPORTS NET INCOME OF €37.5 MILLION IN Q2
TAP Air Portugal achieved a net income of EUR 37.5 million (£32.4 million) in the second quarter of 2025 (2Q25). The airline has thus reaffirmed its commitment to the path of recovery, financial sustainability and structural transformation it has been following in recent years, recording a solid recovery in 2Q25 after a challenging first quarter.
