Eurostar prepares for Belgian strike
A general strike is planned to take place across Belgium on Thursday December 22nd meaning that the Belgian rail network will be closed on this day. As a consequence, Eurostar will be unable to operate services to and from Brussels from 22:00 CET on December 21st to 22:00 CET on December 22nd the operator has warned.
UK strike having limited impact on transport

Qantas has accused the Australian Licenced Aircraft Engineers Association of ruining has the travel plans of more than 11,000 passengers following the cancellation of a strike. The Australian flag-carrier was forced to cancel 40 flights, delay 24 flights by up to three and a half hours and bring forward 14 flights earlier today due to the planned four hour strikes this afternoon in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
New general strike in Greece sees flights cancelled
Flights and ferry services in and around Greece are expected to be severely disrupted once again today as unions call members out on strike against proposed austerity measures. The 24-hour general strike got underway at midnight, ahead of a meeting later today by the European Commission to discuss propping up failing banks in Europe.
