Immigration staff to strike on eve of Olympics
Members of the Public & Commercial Services Union working at the Home Office, including those employed in the immigration service, have confirmed they will strike on Thursday 26th July. This is just one day ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony.

An end to the dispute between pilots and management at Air India has moved closer, with strikers agreeing to hold talks. Pilots walked out 18 days ago in a dispute over training, with more than 100 subsequently fired.

Swissport staff at Stansted begin strike
Members of the Unite trade union employed by Swissport at Stansted Airport have started the first of a series of strike actions over changes to scheduling and holiday allocation. The company’s decision to impose roster changes from four days on, two days off to five days on, two days off without agreement will see ramp staff work 14 extra days with no extra pay, argued Unite.

Airline passengers travelling to and from Portugal are set to experience delays as air traffic controllers in the country begin three days of strikes. Eurostar braced for Belgian strike
