Despite a turbulent time for Middle Eastern tourism, the multi award winning Royal Savoy has gone from strength to strength and most recently has enjoyed tremendous benefits from the outstanding facilities offered at SOHO Square. Breaking Travel News catches up with Dieter Geiger, the hotel’s general manager, to find out what’s new at the property.

The entrepreneur, who has been supporting the Egyptian Tourist Board’s drive to rebuild confidence in the country, sees a bright future for sunny Sharm, which has been attracting new visitors in recent months following a host of exciting new developments.

The award-winning SOHO Square – the most popular place for visitors to eat, drink, have fun and shop on the Red Sea – is playing host to singer songwriter Peter Andre on 2 September 2011, and will mark one of his first concerts to promote the release of his new single Perfect Night. A fortnight later the top entertainment complex in Sharm el Sheikh will play host to the World Travel Awards.

Sharm El Sheikh is continuing to rebound with reports of “very strong” bookings for the first of the summer season’s concerts at Soho Square. The award-winning leisure and entertainment centre on Egypt’s Red Sea Coast says a special Easter concert by Ali Campbell, UB40’s legendary lead singer, “has been attracting very strong interest and early bookings.”
