Hamad International Airport opens Al Mourjan lounge
Hamad International Airport has unveiled its new Al Mourjan Business Lounge for Qatar Airways’ premium passengers.
As one of the largest lounges in the world, with 10,000 square metres of bespoke design features, Al Mourjan offers Qatar Airways’ travellers unrivalled Qatari hospitality with its signature five-star service.
Qatar Airways chief executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Qatar Airways has been known for years for our award-winning Premium Terminal at DIA.
“We are now very pleased to be able to offer our Premium passengers our new premium lounge, which sets new benchmarks in airport luxury and will far exceed our passengers’ expectations.
“Qatar Airways does not compromise on quality and the Al Mourjan lounge is the perfect example of this as it is the epitome of comfort, convenience and five-star service that our Premium class passengers have come to expect from us.
“We look forward to welcoming them to this superior lounge experience.”
Passengers who visit Al Mourjan will be able to enjoy the fresh and relaxing ambience courtesy of an abundance of natural sunlight throughout the lounge, paired with our state-of-the-art lighting technology.
Passengers will also be impressed by the sheer size of the lounge: spread out over two levels, and equivalent to the size of 10 Olympic size pools, Al Mourjan can accommodate up to 1,000 visitors at a time.
And for those looking to satisfy a hunger craving they can enjoy one of the many sumptuous dining options on offer, from light bites to seated dining in the mezzanine area.
For those looking to relax, there is a wealth of options available to help passengers rejuvenate before their flight, from the private quiet rooms and relaxing family spaces, to the games rooms for children offering PlayStation pods and an F1 driving simulator.
Added to this Al Mourjan also offers prayer rooms, restrooms, a smoking area, a nursery and shower rooms with free amenities.
The Al Mourjan Business Lounge is open to Qatar Airways and oneworld first and business class passengers until the Al Safwa First Class Lounge opens as part of HIA’s phased development.
