World Travel Awards salutes Europe winners in St. Petersburg

TAP celebrates and widens Portugal Stopover programme

West Cliffs golf course prepares to debut in Portugal
Europe’s most eagerly-awaited new golf course design project will officially open in Portugal this summer. Situated less than an hour north of Lisbon – on Portugal’s magnificent Silver Coast – West Cliffs has been designed by golf course architect Cynthia Dye ASGCA, of the world-renowned golf architecture firm Dye Designs Group, and is set to be unveiled to a worldwide audience in June.

Lisbon takes top title at World Travel Awards
Lisbon has been named Europe’s Leading Cruise Destination by the World Travel Awards. These accolades, announced at the Europe Gala Ceremony held in Sardinia, honour the quality of services and the facilities for cruise passengers available in the sunny Portuguese capital. Paula Oliveira, executive director of Turismo de Lisboa, said: “We are extremely proud to have received these two new awards for our city.”
Ryanair extends Aberdeen schedule with new Faro flight
Ryanair is extending its Aberdeen summer 2017 schedule with a new route to Faro. The new departure is in addition to the low-cost carrier’s two already announced new routes to Alicante and Malaga. Ryanair head of communications, Robin Kiely, said: “We are pleased to extend our Aberdeen summer 2017 schedule with a new route to Faro, which will operate twice weekly in addition to our other new routes to Alicante and Malaga.”
