American Airlines launches nonstop service between New York and Dublin
American Airlines today launches daily nonstop service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Dublin Airport (DUB), adding a new destination to American’s extensive network and giving customers traveling from Dublin nonstop connections out of JFK to cities throughout North, Central and South America.
Delta Launches new non-stop Shanghai service from Seattle
Delta Air Lines has launched a new non-stop service from Seattle to Shanghai today with an inaugural service ceremony. The flight is the latest addition to Delta’s growing Asian gateway in Seattle, as the service, between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Shanghai Pu Dong International Airport complements current non-stop service from Seattle to Beijing, Osaka, Tokyo-Narita and most recently, Tokyo-Haneda.
Wizz Air opens routes to Moldova
Wizz Air, the largest low-fare, low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today two new services from Moldova’s capital Chisinau to Rome and Venice commencing on 24 September. Both routes will initially operate twice weekly and are the first Moldovan low fare routes offered.
Ryanair celebrates 1st Greek domestic Chania- Thessaloniki flight
Ryanair, Europe’s only ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC), today celebrated the launch of its first Greek domestic flights between Chania and Thessaloniki and noted it could be the first of many inter-Greek routes should the Greek Government accept Ryanair’s tourism rescue plan for Greece.

Malaysia Airlines adds daytime service to Mumbai
Malaysia Airlines is increasing its frequency from Kuala Lumpur into Mumbai to12 times weekly effective 3 June 2013. Following greater demand from the market, one additional service will be made to the current daytime schedule of services put in by the national carrier since September 2012. Starting June 2013, daytime services from Kuala Lumpur to Mumbai on flight MH174 depart every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Monday is the new day in the schedule.
Turkish Airlines continues its expansion in Austria
With existing services to Vienna, “The Best Airline of Europe”* Turkish Airlines added flights to Salzburg as its 2nd destination in Austria. Beginning from today, roundtrip flights between Istanbul and Salzburg are operated 4 times per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Kenya Airways to commence direct flights to Abu Dhabi
Kenya Airways has announced the commencement of direct flights to Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, as it grows its presence in the Middle East. The airline will start operating the service on the route from July 1st, 2013, flying three times a week between Nairobi and Abu Dhabi.
SATA Ailrines announces new Porto flights
SATA Airlines will launch one-stop service to Porto, Portugal from Boston this summer. SATA will offer wide-body jet service to Porto four times a week from June to September, with a stop in the Azores and both economy and business classes.
Aegean Airlines to link Manchester to Athens with new flight
Aegean Airlines will begin operating a direct service between Manchester Airport and Athens International this Saturday. Aegean will connect Manchester Airport to Athens International airport with bi-weekly flights, on Saturdays and Mondays.
flydubai launches flights to Salalah, Oman
flydubai began flights to Salalah, in the Sultanate of Oman, earlier bringing its operational network to 60 destinations. flydubai flight FZ039 touched down at Salalah Airport just hours before the airline began scheduled operations to Mattala, its second point in Sri Lanka, following a special flight in March on the opening day of Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport.
easyJet’s first ever flights to Norway take off
easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has today launched its first ever services from London Gatwick to Bergen, Norway. Norway is the 33rd country easyJet flies to with the airline expecting to carry more than 100,000 passengers between Norway and the UK annually.
