Austrian Airlines takes off on maiden flight to Chicago
Austrian Airlines has added another North American destination to its flight schedule, with the departure of its first flight to Chicago. Flights will leave for Chicago five times a week on a Boeing 767, which will be equipped with the new long-haul cabin.
Emirates’ Airbus A380 to be launched to Brisbane and Auckland
Brisbane is set to become Emirates’ third Australian destination to welcome the airline’s flagship Airbus A380, with the announcement that the airline will operate the aircraft on the Dubai to Brisbane and Auckland route from October 1st 2013.

Norwegian expands German operations as it grows in Europe
Norwegian Air Shuttle has outlined plans to continue its European expansion, with the launch of new routes from Hamburg, Cologne and Munich to several Spanish destinations revealed for this autumn. “The expansion in the German market is part of our future strategy to expand our presence outside of the Nordic region in order to meet the strong competition in the airline industry,” explained Norwegian chief executive, Bjørn Kjos.
Aegean Airlines to offer Athens flights out of Manchester

American Airlines launches Seoul flights from Fort Worth

Air France launches new route to Montevideo, South America
Air France is continuing to expand its long-haul international network, the largest in the world on departure from Europe, with a new destination in South America: Montevideo. Starting today, the capital city of Uruguay will be served by five weekly flights, as an extension of the flight to Buenos Aires in Argentina.
Air France, KLM step up connectivity from Scotland
Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines are increasing flight frequencies from Scotland to the world for their Summer Schedule. KLM is increasing its daily flights from five to six from Edinburgh to Amsterdam and from four to five from Glasgow. Air France has increased the frequency between Edinburgh and Paris with one additional flight.
