bmi regional codeshare brings Lufthansa back to Bristol
Thanks to a new codeshare agreement with bmi regional, German airline Lufthansa is adding Bristol to its global network from today. The move enables business and leisure travellers from Bristol Airport to connect twice daily to Frankfurt and daily to Munich, providing access to Lufthansa’s worldwide network offering flights to 235 global destinations, and represents a welcome return to the south-west for the airline.
interCaribbean Airways announces new Kingston-Montego Bay-Kingston flights
interCaribbean Airways is pleased to announce the introduction of new scheduled non-stop air service connecting Kingston to Montego Bay, with 16 weekly flights each way. These new flights from Montego Bay to Kingston provide onward flights to Providenciales, Grand Turk, Santo Domingo and San Juan making connections across the wider Caribbean a reality.
Fly-SAX launches new route to Lokichoggio
Fly-SAX, Kenya’s premier safari and private charter airline, is pleased to announce the launch of a new route to Lokichoggio, with flights having commenced on 24 February 2014. With three return flights each week, Fly-SAX is significantly increasing the connectivity between Nairobi and the Turkana region of northwest Kenya.
Aeromexico increases flights between Mexico and Asia
Aeromexico, Mexico’s biggest airline, has announced it will be operating seven weekly flights to and from Asia, promoting Mexico’s bilateral relations with Japan and China. Starting in April, Aeromexico will add its fourth weekly flight to and from Tokyo, while in July it will add its third weekly flight to and from Shanghai, consolidating its position as the only Latin American airline to unite these cities with the capital of Mexico.

flydubai to operate direct flights to Moscow
Dubai-based flydubai has announced the launch of daily flights to Moscow, to start in September 2014, during the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition. Commenting on the launch, flydubai chief executive, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of direct flights to Russia’s capital marking the airline’s commitment to one of its key markets.”
Ryanair adds 8 new destinations for Winter 2014
Ryanair has announced its London Stansted 2014 winter schedule, with 8 new routes and increased flights on 36 other routes, which will deliver growth of 2m customers p.a. and support 2,000* new on-site jobs at London Stansted Airport.
Air China to fly Shanghai-Munich non-stop
Air China will inaugurate Shanghai-Munich non-stop service on June 6th, 2014, bringing the number of the European cities it serves from Shanghai up to four, with the other three cities being Frankfurt, Milan and Paris. Currently, Air China operates from Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu to Europe and is the largest operator of China-European routes.
Frontier Airlines announces six new routes
To celebrate its 20th anniversary this summer, Frontier Airlines today announced that it is launching six new routes. Beginning May 16, 2014, Frontier will offer nonstop service from its primary hub in Denver, Colo. to Bakersfield, Calif. (BFL). Beginning June 12, 2014, Frontier will offer year-round nonstop service from Denver to Missoula, Mont.
Emirates launches new Chicago route
Emirates has announced it is launching a daily service to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, Terminal 5 from August 5th 2014. The service will be operated by a Boeing 777-200LR powered by GE90 engines.
airberlin expands Caribbean flight network
In winter 2014/15 airberlin will be increasing the frequency of its flights to the Caribbean and at the same time further expanding its tourist services from Dusseldorf and Munich. From November 2014 there will be two extra non-stop flights from Dusseldorf to Varadero in Cuba and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
