Hotel group Motel One has announced positive figures for the first half of the financial year, with revenues, net profit and EBITDA continuing to rise. The design-led hotel group saw revenues for the first half rise 20 per cent over the period, to €222 million.
Motel One saw sales rise 22 per cent to €487 million in 2018 as the budget hotel chain continues to grow its position in the European hospitality market.
The hotel is situated on the market square, close to the city’s landmarks, including St Mary’s Church, St Petri Church, the town hall, the Buddenbrook House and the Holsten Gate.
Motel One has opened its second hotel in Switzerland: Motel One Zürich. The 394-room hotel enjoys a city centre location and unusual design themes inspired by Switzerland, Lake Zurich and chocolate, which reflect the city’s prominence and elegance.
Budget design hotel group Motel One is opening a new hotel, Motel One Berlin-Upper West. It will be the group’s ninth hotel in the German capital, and offers partnerships with Italian luxury furniture brand Baxter and star photographer Jim Rakete.
