Ryanair expands airside connections in Italy
Ryanair has extended its connecting flights service at Milan Bergamo and Rome Fiumicino Airports, adding a further 27 routes. New connections now include Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Prague and Ibiza, providing Ryanair customers with an expanded route choice of 181 connecting services in total.

Milan Bergamo Airport witnessed another year of robust growth throughout 2016, welcoming close to one million more passengers than the year before. Experiencing 7.2 per cent passenger traffic growth, Milan Bergamo was Italy’s third busiest airport last year, handling over 11.1 million passengers – a new record for the gateway.

Milan welcomes the world as Expo 2015 opens its doors
Pope Francis, and Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi have both welcomed guests to Milan as Expo 2015 gets underway. A spectacular show of the Frecce Tricolori soaring over the Expo site officially started the Universal Exhibition, as Renzi said: “Expo 2015 shall be a place of freedom, a moment of confrontation for new generations, let’s demonstrate that Italy is proud of its roots, of its traditions, but the most important page has still to be written by all of us.”
