Amadeus has been chosen by Lufthansa to power the airline’s brand new shopping, booking and re-booking webpages with its suite of next generation e-Commerce solutions. Lufthansa.com, which receives over 210 million visitors per annum, now has a completely revamped shopping and booking flow that will streamline the purchasing experience for travellers by improved navigation and transparent pricing information.
bmi regional codeshare brings Lufthansa back to Bristol
Thanks to a new codeshare agreement with bmi regional, German airline Lufthansa is adding Bristol to its global network from today. The move enables business and leisure travellers from Bristol Airport to connect twice daily to Frankfurt and daily to Munich, providing access to Lufthansa’s worldwide network offering flights to 235 global destinations, and represents a welcome return to the south-west for the airline.
Lufthansa cancels 900 flights as pilots walk out on strike
German flag-carrier Lufthansa has cancelled around 900 flights at the start of a three-day strike by pilots begins. Pilots walked out at midnight, April 2nd and are not expected to return to work until 23:59 on Friday.

Europe’s largest airline, Lufthansa, has launched its in-flight mobile phone service with AeroMobile, allowing passengers to use their own mobile devices to text and browse online at 30,000 feet via Lufthansa FlyNet. With eight aircraft already in service, the German flag-carrier has confirmed it will roll out mobile connectivity across its entire long-haul fleet of over 100 aircraft this year.
