KLM began its new daily flight service from George Best Belfast City Airport earlier, marking the airline’s 17 departure point in the UK and Ireland. The route offers Belfast passengers convenient access to KLM’s worldwide network of over 200 destinations, in more than 100 countries, via the award-winning Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Oman Air is has launched a new codeshare agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The agreement came into effect on Wednesday April 15th 2015 and enables Oman Air’s customers to book onto flights operated by KLM between Muscat and Amsterdam.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced Pieter Elbers has been appointed by the KLM Supervisory Board president to the position of chief executive of KLM, replacing Camiel Eurlings. The surprise move will see Elbers take over immediately, ahead of the end of Eurlings’ contract in April 2015.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is to expand its long-haul service to South America next year with a new scheduled service to Colombia’s capital, Bogota, and Cali, the country’s third-largest city. From March 31st 2015, KLM will fly three times a week operating a Boeing 777-200 on flight KL745.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has expanded its network by adding three new destinations. The airline has begun flying twice daily to Turin and once a day to Bilbao and Zagreb. Pieter Elbers, deputy chief executive and chief operating officer, said: “I’m glad that after ten years KLM will once again be flying to Turin under its own flight code.”
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has expanded its cooperation with Kenya Airways within East Africa. Kenya Airways and KLM now jointly operate 44 weekly flights on six routes to East Africa, with combined revenues exceeding US$500 million.
Etihad Airways and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines have entered the second phase of their strategic partnership following the launch of the Abu Dhabi-based carrier’s flights to Amsterdam. The daily service, operated by a two cabin Airbus A330-200 and configured to carry 262 passengers with 22 in Pearl Business Class and 240 in Coral Economy Class, was launched earlier and carries KLM’s KL code.

Special guests and passengers are today celebrating the launch of KLM’s latest regional route – from Manston Airport in Kent to Amsterdam Schiphol, the fourth largest air hub in the world. The new service, the only scheduled passenger flight from the Kent airport, will allow local travellers access to over 190 destinations worldwide via Schiphol with KLM.
