Jumeirah to manage luxury hotel in Turkey
Jumeirah will start operating its second hotel in Turkey, the Golden Savoy in Bodrum, on the country’s Aegean coast in May. The 135-room property spanning 110,000m2 includes restaurants, lounges and bars, a Talise Spa and 57 swimming pools.
Jumeirah consolidates restaurant operations under JRG Dubai banner
Jumeirah Group, the international luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has launched Jumeirah Restaurant Group Dubai, a global restaurant management company that creates, operates and franchises a portfolio of 60 restaurant brands. JRG Dubai operates home-grown high-end, premium casual and casual dining venues and lounges, including Pierchic, Tortuga, Pai Thai, 360° and The Noodle House, which comprises a portfolio of 23 branches worldwide.
Jumeirah reveals plans for first hotel under new Venu flag
Jumeirah Group has announced the first deal for its new contemporary lifestyle hotel brand, Venu, following the signing of a management agreement with Meraas Holding. The Jumeirah Group will operate the Venu Bluewaters Island Hotel together with adjoining serviced residences, which will be operated under the Venu Living brand. The Venu properties are expected to open in 2017 and will offer close to 300 hotel rooms and 119 serviced apartments.
Benson takes over leadership of Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London
Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Katie Benson to the role of general manager at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London. Benson joins Jumeirah from Langham Group, where she was most recently chief executive and executive director of Langham Hospitality Investments, as well as regional vice president for the Americas and Caribbean for Langham Hospitality Group.
Jumeirah Zabeel Saray launches new cruise shuttle service
Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, the Ottoman inspired luxury resort located on Palm Jumeirah, has unveiled a new private jetty offering an exclusive boat shuttle service for in house guests. The air conditioned, eight seat shuttle boat named the ‘Saray Water Transfer’ is available from the hotel’s private beach and provides transfers to and from Dubai Marina, offering quick and exclusive access to one of the city’s most popular destinations.

Jumeirah appoints new general manager for iconic Burj Al Arab
Jumeirah Group has appointed Anthony McHale as general manager of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. McHale takes up the role as of January 11th 2015, joining Jumeirah Group after more than five years as general manager of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London. During his time at Mandarin Oriental he successfully opened Bar Boulud in 2010, as well as Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in 2011, which has secured two Michelin stars and worldwide recognition.
Jumeirah Golf Estates to launch London sale with Fine & Country Golf
European Tour Destination Jumeirah Golf Estates is holding its first property exhibition in association with Fine & Country Golf on December 11th-12th of 2014 at Fine & Country’s Park Lane showroom in Mayfair, London. Jumeirah Creekside Hotel has appointed Ansgar Werneke as the new Executive Chef. Originally from Germany, Chef Ansgar has over twenty two years’ of culinary experience and joins from Jumeirah Beach Hotel where he worked for five years. During his time there he was responsible for the culinary operations in both the restaurant and banquet divisions.

Jumeirah Group plans three new hotels in China as Asian expansion continues
