Chairman of the Jamaica Tourist Board, Dennis Morrison has announced the appointment of Paul Pennicook as Director of Tourism effective July 9, 2014.

Jamaica Tourist Board announces increase in UK visitor figures
he Jamaica Tourist Board is seeing an impressive lift in British visitor figures this 2013/2014 winter season, registering a 6% increase in UK travellers from November 2013 to February 2014 on the previous year. This equates to 2,449 more British tourists travelling to the island, compared to the same period in winter 2012/2013.
Lynch bows out at Jamaica Tourist Board
The Jamaica Tourist Board has announced that John Lynch will step down from office as Jamaica’s director of tourism at the end of May. Lynch served in that capacity for five and a half years, culminating with a record-breaking year in 2013 when for the first time the destination welcomed two million visitors in a calendar year.

Jamaica is showcasing some of its spectacular tourism offerings this week as Montego Bay plays host to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association’s premier tourism marketing event, Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2014. The marketplace, which is expected to attract 1,200 delegates, is being hosted at Montego Bay Convention Centre, which was named Caribbean’s Leading Meetings & Convention Centre in 2013 by the World Travel Awards.
