Boeing and flydubai have signed a landmark agreement today for 225 737 MAX airplanes with a list price value of $27 billion. The deal represents the largest-ever single-aisle jet order – by number of airplanes and total value – from a Middle East carrier.

Following the commencement of their partnership, Emirates and flydubai today announced that Emirates will expand its network to 29 flydubai destinations across three continents. The new partner network, through its codeshare, will offer greater frequency and easier access to more global destinations with the advantage of connecting baggage to the final destination.
Boeing and flydubai have celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first 737 MAX 8, making the Middle East carrier the first in the region to operate the manufacturer’s newest single-aisle airplane. The delivery is the first of 75 737 MAX airplanes the airline will be adding to their all-Boeing fleet of Next-Generation 737s.
Emirates and flydubai have unveiled an extensive partnership which will see the two Dubai-owned airlines join forces to offer customers new travel options. Both airlines will continue to be managed independently, but will leverage each other’s network to scale up their operations and accelerate growth.
Dubai-based flydubai has announced the start of flights to Kilimanjaro from October 29th this year. The re-launched service to the carrier’s third point in Tanzania, along with Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, will see flydubai’s network in Africa expand to 12 destinations.

flydubai has today reported a profit of AED31.6 million (US$ 8.6 million for financial 2016. The low-cost carrier reported total revenue of AED5 billion (US$ 1.37 billion) an increase of 2.4 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Dubai’s fast growing carrier, flydubai, has announced the launch of its rewards programme OPEN, reports Phil Blizzard in Dubai. Commenting on the launch of the online rewards programme, Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive, flydubai told Breaking Travel News: “We are committed to introducing product innovations that enhance the overall customer experience with flydubai.”
