Flybe has started operating a fifth daily weekday flight between Leeds Bradford and Belfast City airports that, due to increased demand, will operate year round. Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “I’m really pleased to see the growth of Flybe’s year round frequency on the Belfast City route adding yet more choice for passengers across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Amadeus Airline Ancillary Services has now been implemented for Flybe. By making it possible to add chargeable bags through the Amadeus distribution channel, Flybe enables travel agents to better serve their customers’ needs, as they book the additional services requested for their flights – all within an efficient and automated booking flow.

Blue Islands will launch a franchise partnership with Flybe from June 6th this year. The deal first route to operate under the new partnership will be from Jersey to Southampton. Under the new franchise agreement, the service will be operated on Flybe branded ATR aircraft with Flybe flight numbers.

Virgin Atlantic is increasing its regional presence with the introduction of two brand new routes from Manchester Airport, and a new codeshare agreement with Europe’s leading regional airline, Flybe. The new routes will mean America is more accessible than ever before from the North of England as Virgin Atlantic introduces Manchester Airport’s first ever direct flights to San Francisco, and a brand new service to Boston.

Flybe has announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Channel Island-based Blue Islands for it to become its third franchise partner and operate flights to and from Jersey and Guernsey airports. The deal will take effect from spring 2016.

Flybe has launched a new customer initiative called Flybe FareCracker. Each month, Flybe will offer customers a five-day window of opportunity to buy low-cost fares for upcoming flights, a list of which is easily accessed via the special FareCracker icon.
