Flybe has started its new peak summer route to Rennes from London City with a service to north-western France that flies six times a week. Flights operate through to September 4th. London travellers can be in Brittany’s capital city in just an hour and twenty five minutes, in comparison to a lengthy six and a half hour journey if taking the Eurostar from London St Pancras.

Flybe has started operating a fifth daily weekday flight between Leeds Bradford and Belfast City airports that, due to increased demand, will operate year round. Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “I’m really pleased to see the growth of Flybe’s year round frequency on the Belfast City route adding yet more choice for passengers across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Blue Islands will launch a franchise partnership with Flybe from June 6th this year. The deal first route to operate under the new partnership will be from Jersey to Southampton. Under the new franchise agreement, the service will be operated on Flybe branded ATR aircraft with Flybe flight numbers.
