Flybe to offer routes from London Heathrow for first time
Flybe it is heading to London Heathrow for the first time next year to connect the UK’s largest international airport with Scotland, offering a choice of more than 40 scheduled flights a week from Aberdeen and Edinburgh. The new routes complement Flybe’s well-established London City flights from the two Scottish airports.
Flybe signs codeshare partnership with Singapore Airlines
Flybe has announced that Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines has become its 11th codeshare partner. This means that starting this winter, regional customers using Flybe’s multi-frequency services from five UK airports including Aberdeen, Manchester and Southampton.
Flybe reveals first European crew base in Dusseldorf, Germany
Flybe has announced plans to open its first European crew base in February 2017 having secured an agreement with Dusseldorf Airport. Germany is becoming an increasingly important market for Flybe, which now offers six routes to Dusseldorf. These are from Birmingham, Cardiff, Doncaster Sheffield, Manchester and Southampton with the latest route from London City having started last month.
Flybe and Avios launch new partnership
Flybe and Avios have announced that it is now possible for customers to get more value - by part paying for their flights using their accrued points. As part of the airline’s extended Avios Travel Rewards programme, flights can be booked and partially paid directly through the Flybe website.
Flybe launches new route from London City to Düsseldorf
Flybe has announced that it will operate up to three conveniently timed flights a day between London City and Düsseldorf from October 30th. This new route joins those existing Flybe services to Amsterdam and Paris Charles de Gaulle as the airline’s third year-round service to continental Europe from London City airport.
Flybe launches Luxembourg departure from Manchester
Flybe has celebrated a UK milestone with its brand new year round service between Manchester and Luxembourg that, until today, was a destination only previously accessible to and from main London airports. Flybe has added a new route to Dublin from Yorkshire’s Doncaster Sheffield Airport that will operate six times a week with effect from October 30th. The news comes just months after the launch of its new partnership with Flybe that featured an initial ten routes.
Flybe adds new routes from Manchester
European regional airline Flybe is starting its new year-round daily service to Lyon from Manchester Airport. The airline has also confirmed it will be adding Chambery as a new destination to its Manchester 2016-17 Winter schedule. Customers from Manchester will have a direct link to the historic city of Lyon that is renowned as a World Heritage Site and thriving cultural centre.
Flybe signs significant codeshare deal with airberlin
Flybe has signed a significant codeshare relationship with airberlin. Under the agreement, airberlin will place its marketing code on Flybe routes from Birmingham, Cardiff, Doncaster, Manchester and Southampton to Germany.
Flybe goes intra-European with new Hannover flights
Flybe has welcomed the launch of its first ever intra-European flights with two new routes taking to the skies from Hannover namely daily services to both Lyons and Milan. Flybe chief revenue officer Vincent Hodder commented: “This is a proud milestone for Flybe. Flybe’s debut into this new marketplace marks the beginning of our ambition to provide mainland Europeans with the same high level of regional connectivity and choice of high frequency time-saving travel as we currently provides throughout the UK.”

Flybe seeks to overcome turbulence in European aviation
Regional airline Flybe has seen unit revenues fall during the first quarter of financial 2016/17, with the UK’s decision to leave the European Union hitting figures. The carrier saw a 3.9 per cent decrease in passenger yield, to £68.39, during the quarter, while revenue per seat fell 9.1 per cent £47.95. Saad Hammad, chief executive at Flybe, said: “Flybe continues to make progress despite significant external challenges.”
