Flybe welcomes new ATR 72-600 to fleet
Flybe is for the first time introducing an ATR 72-600 series aircraft into its fleet. The aircraft has been delivered to Flybe from the leasing firm Avation PLC, and will operate from Sweden in the livery of Flybe’s new partner in Northern Europe, Scandinavian Airlines. During 2015 and 2016 Flybe will incorporate into the SAS network five new 70-seat ATR 72-600s leased from Avation.
Flybe launches new Liverpool-Schiphol route
Flybe has commenced its new service to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport from Liverpool John Lennon Airport giving passengers the ability to connect onwards to the host of European and long haul destinations available from the busy international hub. The regional carrier now operates up to three flights per day between Liverpool and Amsterdam, departing early morning, lunchtime and late afternoon and that offer the opportunity for passengers to make many convenient onward long haul connections available through Amsterdam.

Flybe signs Emirates as codeshare partner as recovery stutters
Emirates has signed a codeshare agreement with Exeter-based Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline. The news comes as Flybe reports a £35.6 million pre-tax loss for financial 2014, having seen a profit of £8.1 million a year earlier. The losses were largely down to a one-off charge linked to its exit from a joint venture in Finland.

Flybe flight makes emergency landing following engine fire
A Flybe flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Belfast International Airport late on Tuesday following an engine fire. Flight BE130, on route from Glasgow to George Best Belfast City Airport, was diverted with 76 people on board.
Drunk pilot arrested at Gatwick Airport
A pilot has been removed from a plane and arrested on suspicion of being drunk as he prepared to take off. The Flybe pilot was preparing to fly from Newquay, Cornwall, to London Gatwick yesterday morning before being removed from the aircraft.
Flybe and Bombardier sign strategic services agreement
Flybe and Bombardier have signed a strategic services agreement which confirms the Bombardier Q400 as Flybe’s aircraft of choice in its UK branded business and sees Bombardier undertaking a major programme of enhancements over the coming months which will make Flybe’s current 45-strong Q400 fleet one of the most operationally efficient regional fleets in the world.
Flybe reveals new additions to winter schedule
Flybe has launched three brand new routes to its 2014-15 winter schedule – daily services to Dublin from Inverness and London Southend, and also between Southampton and Hamburg. In addition, the airline also confirms its popular sun routes from Southampton to Alicante, Malaga and Faro have been extended to operate through October and November, to accommodate half term travel.
Flybe launches multi-stop flyshuttle service
Flybe has launched a new FlyShuttle service between Jersey and Aberdeen that starts on 26th October, 2014. FlyShuttle offers customers a multi-stop ‘hop-on and off’ service with a choice of up to three flights a day connecting Jersey to Aberdeen from both directions, with passenger pick up and drop offs in Southampton and Leeds Bradford airports.
