Germanwings expands UK route network
Germanwings has confirmed it will launch new routes between Stuttgart and London Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport later this year. Services will depart from February and July respectively.
Germanwings expands booking options via GDS and Direct Connect
Germanwings is strengthening its cooperation with travel agents by further expanding its presence in the large central reservation systems (Global Distribution Systems/GDS). Following the announcement of a cooperation with Amadeus at the end of January this year, low-cost flights with Germanwings can now also be booked via Travelport with immediate effect.

Germanwings makes Hannover its sixith hub
Germanwings, which began in October 2002 as the low cost carrier within the Lufthansa legacy group and servicing 7.2 million passengers in 2009, has added Hannover as its sixth base of operations as it launched London Stansted to Hannover Route on Thursday April, 29th. Three Airbus A 319 aircraft stationed in Hanover fly will fly to a total of 16 cities.
