Pilots strike at Germanwings

Despite industrial action next week, Germanwings will provide over 400 of the 600 flights that would normally have operated during the strike period.

The strike runs from Monday 22nd to Thursday 25th February.  Customers can view the replacement flight schedule online at www.germanwings.com.

An information hotline has been set up for all Germanwings’ passengers.

Passengers in the UK should call 0906 294 1918.

Additional staff will also be deployed at airports to look after passengers and provide additional information at all times.

Germanwings is offering passengers affected by flight cancellations as a consequence of the strike a free rebooking service. The original flight must have been booked by 16 February 2010 and the new travel date must be before 25 March 2010.  The departure and arrival airports cannot be changed.

Customers affected by the strike can also cancel their tickets and have the cost of the ticket reimbursed.

The airline very much regrets any inconvenience to passengers resulting from the strike.
