Germanwings expands UK route network
Germanwings has confirmed it will launch new routes between Stuttgart and London Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport later this year.
Services will depart from February and July respectively.
The decision is part of an ongoing process to move Germanwings ever closer to parent Lufthansa.
As part of the process, the carrier will consolidate it so it flies to all Lufthansa’s European destinations out of Stuttgart as of summer 2012.
As a result, Germanwings will offer five services a week from Manchester to Stuttgart and 21 flights a week from London Heathrow.
