Eurostar will open ticket sales for the new route from London to Bordeaux tomorrow. The new high-speed line in France will reduce journey time by over one hour, offering passengers a more convenient alternative to flying.

Hahn Air signs Eurostar partnership
Hahn Air is expanding its network of over 300 air, rail and shuttle partners with high-speed rail operator Eurostar. The UK-based train services are now available to travel agents worldwide for ticketing on Hahn Air’s HR-169 document with the exception of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Eurostar is set to welcome over 368,000 people during the festive season, a nine per cent rise compared to the same period last year. It is expected to be its busiest December ever at the high-speed passenger service between the UK and mainland Europe.
Signs of recovery for Eurostar in third quarter
Eurostar today reported signs of recovery in the trading environment with passenger numbers increasing year-on-year over the last eight weeks. This uplift follows a challenging period in which demand was dampened by the terrorist attack in Nice at the end of July. With the recent fall in sterling, the business also saw an increase in the number of passengers coming from France to the UK during the October half term holidays, with traffic up 18 per cent year-on-year during that period.
Eurostar services suspended following power outage
Eurostar services have been suspended following a power failure at the Channel Tunnel. Eurotunnel, which operates freight and car services, has also been forced to cancel services as overhead power problems knocked out supplies. Engineers are investigating what repairs are needed to rectify the problem.
Eurostar to offer late-season ski departures
Eurostar is providing another chance for skiers to take the train to the slopes, with additional services on sale today for the peak school holiday period during February half-term 2017. The services to the French Alps offer a hassle-free journey, taking winter sports fans direct from platform to piste and offering a generous baggage allowance including two suitcases plus hand luggage and skis or snowboards at no extra cost.
Staff to strike for seven days at Eurostar starting Friday
Train managers at Eurostar are to walk out on strike for seven days as part of a long-running dispute over work-life balance at the train operator. Four days of strike action will being at 00:01 Friday, lasting until 23:59 hours on Monday. A further three days of strike action will begin at 00:01 on Saturday August 27th, ending at 23:59 on Monday, August 29th.
Eurostar sees sales revenue fall as Brexit bites
Eurostar has reported a challenging second quarter of 2016, as business demand softened in the run-up to the EU referendum and leisure traffic continued to be impacted by the Brussels terrorist attacks. Uncertainty over the UK’s future relationship with Europe has resulted in a drop in business travel, while on the leisure market there has been a continued slowdown in traffic from international markets, the USA and Japan in particular.
