Sabre now selling Etihad pre-reserved seats
Sabre Corporation is now selling Etihad’s Extra Legroom Seating and pre-paid bags in the Sabre global distribution system. Shelly Terry, vice president of Supplier Merchandising for Sabre Travel Network, said the sale of ancillaries, such as pre-reserved seats continue to be a valuable revenue stream for airlines and provides travelers with more choices for their flight experience.

Etihad Airways president James Hogan has been inducted into The British Travel & Hospitality Industry Hall of Fame in honour of his “significant part in creating and developing the travel and tourism industry in Britain and globally”. Announced during a gala dinner in London, Hogan was selected for this honour by a nominating committee of senior industry leaders, including past inductees into The British Travel and Hospitality Industry Hall of Fame, which was first established in 1995.

Etihad Airways has appointed Abdelrahman Abdullah Al Madhloum Al Suwaidi as its new general manager for Cyprus. Etihad Airways sees strong performance in first quarter
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced its strongest ever passenger and cargo volumes for a first quarter, together with US$1.4 billion in total revenues during the three-month period, marking a year-on-year increase of 27 per cent. A total of 3.2 million passengers travelled with Etihad Airways during the first quarter of 2014, over 14 per cent higher than the 2.8 million passengers from the same period last year.
