Etihad adds service to Phuket
Etihad Airways will expand its network in south-east Asia with the launch of a non-stop daily service between Abu Dhabi and Phuket. The new route will launch on October 26th 2014 using two-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with 22 Pearl Business seats and 240 Coral Economy seats.

Etihad to boost flights to Islamabad and Peshawar
Etihad Airways has announced plans to increase its services to the Pakistani cities of Islamabad and Peshawar from London and Manchester via its Abu Dhabi base. Starting from March 30th 2014, Etihad Airways will increase its flights to Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad, from 11 flights a week to a double daily schedule.
Etihad Regional launches new services to Stuttgart
Etihad Regional has commenced a four times per week service from its hub in Geneva, Switzerland to Stuttgart, the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. The inaugural flight F7260 was operated by Etihad Regional’s newly branded 50-seat Saab 2000 aircraft, which was greeted by a traditional water cannon salute upon arrival at Stuttgart Airport.
Etihad inches closer to Alitalia deal
Etihad Airways president James Hogan has confirmed the airline has entered the final phase of a due diligence process about a possible investment by Etihad in Italian flag-carrier Alitalia. During the next 30 days both companies and their advisors will determine how a common strategy can be developed which meets the objectives of both parties.
Etihad to offer double daily flights to Ireland
Etihad Airways has confirmed it will increase its Abu Dhabi-Dublin service from ten flights per week, to double daily from July 15th 2014. The frequency boost of 40 per cent will provide 8,988 seats each week between the capital cities of the UAE and Ireland.
Etihad Airways signs Air Europa codeshare deal
UAE flag carrier Etihad Airways and Spanish airline Air Europa have signed a codeshare agreement which will see both carriers significantly enhance access to and from Spain, the UAE and to destinations across globe. Under the terms of the agreement and subject to regulatory approvals, Air Europa plans to commence a three times a week direct service between Madrid and Abu Dhabi in late 2014.
Etihad signs codeshare with JetBlue
JetBlue Airways and Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, have announced plans to begin codeshare operations and provide customers with enhanced travel options worldwide. The agreement, which is subject to government approval, will see Etihad Airways place its “EY” code on JetBlue-operated flights, initially facilitating connections between the two airlines at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Washington’s Dulles International Airport.
Etihad Regional launches in Zurich
Swiss-based airline Etihad Regional was launched in Zurich today heralding a new era of improved regional and international connections for travellers in Europe. Established in partnership with UAE national carrier, Etihad Airways, the new carrier will be operated by Switzerland’s Darwin Airline, which is headquartered in Lugano with a major hub in Geneva.

Aegean Airlines to operate to Abu Dhabi following Etihad deal
Etihad Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Aegean Airlines, Greece’s largest commercial airline. The agreement will see Aegean Airlines commence a four times a week service between Athens and Abu Dhabi on March 30th 2014 with a 168-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
