Etihad Airways will expand its network in south-east Asia with the launch of a non-stop daily service between Abu Dhabi and Phuket. The new route will launch on October 26th 2014 using two-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with 22 Pearl Business seats and 240 Coral Economy seats.

Etihad Airways has announced plans to increase its services to the Pakistani cities of Islamabad and Peshawar from London and Manchester via its Abu Dhabi base. Starting from March 30th 2014, Etihad Airways will increase its flights to Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad, from 11 flights a week to a double daily schedule.

Etihad Regional has commenced a four times per week service from its hub in Geneva, Switzerland to Stuttgart, the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. The inaugural flight F7260 was operated by Etihad Regional’s newly branded 50-seat Saab 2000 aircraft, which was greeted by a traditional water cannon salute upon arrival at Stuttgart Airport.

Etihad Airways has confirmed it will increase its Abu Dhabi-Dublin service from ten flights per week, to double daily from July 15th 2014. The frequency boost of 40 per cent will provide 8,988 seats each week between the capital cities of the UAE and Ireland.

UAE flag carrier Etihad Airways and Spanish airline Air Europa have signed a codeshare agreement which will see both carriers significantly enhance access to and from Spain, the UAE and to destinations across globe. Under the terms of the agreement and subject to regulatory approvals, Air Europa plans to commence a three times a week direct service between Madrid and Abu Dhabi in late 2014.

JetBlue Airways and Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, have announced plans to begin codeshare operations and provide customers with enhanced travel options worldwide. The agreement, which is subject to government approval, will see Etihad Airways place its “EY” code on JetBlue-operated flights, initially facilitating connections between the two airlines at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Washington’s Dulles International Airport.
