Emirates doubles capacity on services to Boston
Emirates has launched its second daily service from Dubai International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport. The second Boston flight will also be operated with an Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with eight private suites in First class, 42 seats in Business class and 304 seats in Economy class.
Emirates enhances Algiers service
Emirates will be able to connect even more people and cargo with Algiers on 1st October when it switches from its Airbus A340-300 currently operating the route to a larger Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

Dubai International welcomes 6.7m passengers in July
Dubai Airports has announced that 6.68 million passengers passed through Dubai International in July -up 29.6 per cent from the same month last year when traffic numbers were affected by a runway refurbishment programme. Passenger numbers in July totalled to 6,682,676 compared to the 5,155,771 handled in July 2014 when the airport was reduced to one runway while a $1bn refurbishment programme was conducted over an 80 day span.
Emirates welcomes record four aircraft in single day
Emirates has set a new company record with the arrival of four new aircraft in one day, affirming its commitment to flying a modern, efficient and comfortable fleet. The bumper delivery included two Boeing 777-300ERs, one Boeing 777 Freighter and one A380 aircraft. Emirates is already the world’s largest operator of the Boeing 777 and the A380.
Emirates launches Apple Pay to UK fliers
Emirates is offering customers in the UK and US access to Apple Pay, a new service that transforms mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to purchase flight tickets. The new payment option puts Emirates ahead of the game as the first global airline to allow its customers to access Apple Pay when booking online, making mobile flight ticket purchase even more fuss free.
Emirates and MCI sign congress partnership
Emirates and MCI have announced a global alliance which will see Emirates becoming the official airline of its large and international events. MCI in turn will be the preferred Professional Congress Organiser for Emirates. The strategic partnership will help Emirates build a strong meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibition commercial brand in the meetings industry and better cater to its diverse and frequent business travellers.
Emirates resumes flights to Baghdad as security improves
Emirates has relaunched flights to Baghdad, Iraq, after suspending operations in January of this year. Emirates will operate with four weekly flights to Baghdad, served by an A330-200 aircraft in a three class configuration. Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, divisional senior vice president commercial operations, centre for Emirates said: “After conducting an exhaustive safety and security review, we have decided to restart services between Dubai and Baghdad.”
Emirates launches new flights to Phuket, Thailand
Emirates will operates four new weekly flights between Dubai and Phuket from December 1st, 2015. Adding a capacity increase of 57 per cent the four new flights will introduce connectivity from most cities in the Americas for the first time as well as improve connections to a number of destinations in Europe and the Middle East where Emirates currently flies from more than 50 cities.
Emirates to launch world’s longest commercial flight in 2016
Emirates has revealed its plans to launch services to Panama City, beginning February 1st, 2016. The new service will be the longest non-stop flight in the world, at a record 17 hours 35 minutes in the westbound direction. The new route will also be Emirates’ first gateway destination in Central America.
