Boeing and EL AL Israel Airlines have confirmed the Israeli flag carrier finalized an agreement for up to 31 737 MAX jets, supporting the airline’s plans to renew its fleet of Next-Generation 737 airplanes. “This is a significant milestone for EL AL, which will allow us to offer our customers the most advanced service and technology experience in the industry,” said Dina Ben-Tal Ganancia. El Al will be officially launching a new direct route connecting Dublin to Tel Aviv on May 26th. The flag-carrier will become the first airline to operate the route in two decades, with services offered three times a week.

El AL has launched three direct flights between Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport and Logan International Airport Boston on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The three weekly flights to Boston will operate on a 767-300 Boeing aircraft with 218 seats, including 22-bed like seats in Business Class and 28 seats in Economy Class Plus.
