easyJet chairman to step down in summer
Mike Rake, chairman of easyJet, has confirmed he will step down in the summer after three years in the job. His tenure has been marked by clashes with the easyJet founder, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, over the future direction of the airline, as well as a rise in its share price.
easyJet steps up flights to Birmingham
easyJet is to increase its flights between Belfast International Airport and Birmingham in response to high demand. A second Sunday flight departing at 13.25 from Belfast and 14.50 from Birmingham will be added to the schedule from 31 March 2013.
easyJet introduces allocated seating on all flights
easyJet has confirmed it will introduce allocated seating on all of its flights – typically over 1,000 a day - from today. The airline trialled allocated seating in April with nearly two million passengers flying on 12,500 allocated seating flights.
easyJet launches first Manchester-Moscow service
easyJet has outlined plans to launch the first ever scheduled flights between Manchester and Moscow in spring 2013. The low-cost carrier will operate four flights each way a week and plans to put flights on sale in the coming weeks.
Record profits at easyJet
easyJet has delivered a 27.8 per cent rise in annual pre-tax profits, reporting a record £317 million. The result was achieved despite a £182 million rise in fuel costs as revenue per seat increased by 5.9 per cent to £58.51.
easyJet launches new route to Sharm el Sheikh
easyJet will begin flying on the longer routes of Marrakech and Sharm el Sheikh as well as Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria as part of its new 2013 route launches from London Stansted Airport. easyJet will also move a larger A320 aircraft to Stansted which will have 180 seats onboard.
easyJet plans London - Moscow service
easyJet has been awarded the rights to fly between London and Moscow by the CAA and will launch flights from Spring 2013. The low cost carrier will operate an Airbus A320 on two services a day between London Gatwick and Moscow Domodedovo airport.

easyJet has launched a dedicated US website in response to growing demand from customers in America. As well as benefitting from a dedicated homepage, US customers booking through the new site will be able to book their flights in dollars for the first time.
easyJet announces Edinburgh and Manchester expansion plans
easyJet is launching six new routes in an expansion plan which will result in the creation of around 160 new jobs along with an estimated 500 indirect jobs in Scotland.

easyJet announces Icelandic expansion
Budget carrier easyJet is adding two new routes from Manchester and Edinburgh to Reykjavik, which will begin in March 2013. Twice weekly flights will leave Edinburgh and Manchester from 14 and 21 March 2013 respectively.
