easyJet and Liverpool John Lennon Airport have confirmed the signing of a new nine year agreement that will see the continued expansion of the low-cost carrier from the location. easyJet have also announced the addition of a new destination from JLA, with flights to Larnaca Airport in Cyprus starting this winter.

easyJet has celebrated the launch of its first flight from London Gatwick to Santiago de Compostela, the capital city of the Galicia region in western Spain. The thrice weekly, year round flights are expected to be very popular with British holidaymakers looking for a city full of breathtaking historical monuments steeped in tradition and spiritual heritage.

easyJet and the new owners of London Stansted, Manchester Airport Group have announced a new long-term growth framework deal to enable the airline to more than double its passenger numbers at the airport. Both parties hope to see the number of passengers fly with easyJet from the airport increase from a current 2.8 million to six million a year over the next five years.

easyJet has completed an agreement with Flybe Group to acquire 25 pairs of arrival and departure slots at Gatwick airport for a total consideration of £20 million. The acquisition is subject to the approval of Flybe’s shareholders.

easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has today launched its first ever services from London Gatwick to Bergen, Norway. Norway is the 33rd country easyJet flies to with the airline expecting to carry more than 100,000 passengers between Norway and the UK annually.

easyJet will provide free fast track security to attract more business travellers. From May 2013 the new service will be provided to flexi fare passengers at 27 airports amounting to 54% of the airline’s business network and over the coming months will be progressively rolled out to more airports across easyJet’s network.
