Dubai International sees record passenger numbers in October
Dubai International welcomed 6.4 million passengers in October, according to the monthly traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports. Passenger traffic at DXB reached 6,420,208 passengers compared to 6,250,810 recorded in the corresponding month last year, an increase of 2.7 per cent. Year to date, passenger numbers at DXB have risen 6.8 per cent to 69,366,094 compared to 64,947,684 recorded during the first ten months of 2015.
Dubai Parks & Resorts opens Bollywood Parks
Dubai Parks & Resorts has opened Bollywood Parks as the destination continues to expand. Bollywood Parks Dubai is a first-of-its-kind theme park that showcases rides and attractions based on some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters. Dubai World Central growing in stature
Dubai World Central is now gaining ground in the region as a popular airport for passengers with traffic surging 161 per cent in the third quarter, according to a report issued by operator Dubai Airports today. DWC welcomed 191,950 passengers during quarter three, a sharp increase of 161 per cent compared to 73,466 passengers recorded during the corresponding period in 2015.

Seven million passengers per month is fast becoming the norm at Dubai International after September’s numbers eclipsed that total for the sixth time in nine months, according to the monthly traffic report issued today by operator Dubai Airports. Passenger traffic at DXB passengers reached 7,094,738 compared to 6,432,654 recorded in the corresponding month last year, an increase of 10.3 per cent.
La Perle by Dragone set for debut in Dubai

Key players in Dubai’s tourism industry came together to mark the city’s milestone achievement of reaching 100,000 rooms across its expanding hotel and hotel apartment inventory following the soft opening of The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City. Commenting on the occasion, Helal Saeed Almarri, director general of Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing, said: “For the hotel sector, high demand from international travellers, and the consequent growth in tourism volumes, has been the cornerstone of fostering continued investment in supply enhancement, which has seen us cross this historic 100,000 rooms threshold.”
