Delta Air Lines records strong performance for financial 2015
Delta Air Lines has reported financial results for the December 2015 quarter, including adjusted pre-tax income of $1.45 billion, a $430 million increase year over year. Adjusted net income was $926 million or $1.18 per diluted share, up 51 per cent from the December quarter of 2014.

Delta Air Lines has reported financial results for the September 2015 quarter, including adjusted net income of $1.4 billion or $1.74 per diluted share, up 45 per cent from the September quarter of 2014. “Despite currency volatility and global economic uncertainty which drove a modest decline in revenues, we expanded operating margins by over five points to 21 per cent, grew earnings per share by 45 per cent, and generated $1.4 billion of free cash flow in the September quarter as demand remains solid and fuel prices have dropped materially,” said Richard Anderson, Delta chief executive.
Delta Air Lines adds new trans-Atlantic routes to 2016 schedule
Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways will strengthen their trans-Atlantic network next year with the introduction of new nonstop Delta services from London Heathrow to Salt Lake City and Edinburgh to New York-JFK. “For the second summer in a row, Delta will be launching new routes, that give customers more options when flying between the UK and the United States,” said Nat Pieper, Delta senior vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Delta Air Lines has said it will ban shipment of all lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo trophies worldwide as freight. The news follows a similar announcement from American Airlines earlier. Both airlines acted to ban the shipment of big-game trophies on flights after the illegal killing of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe.

Delta Air Lines has reported financial results for the June 2015 quarter, including adjusted net income of $1 billion or $1.27 per diluted share, up 22 per cent from the June quarter of 2014. “Delta’s record results have allowed the company to invest in its employees through higher wage rates and profit sharing; improve the experience for our customers through new aircraft and innovative partnerships with global carriers; and uniquely deliver value for our shareholders by accelerating our capital returns while also paying down debt,” said Richard Anderson, Delta’s chief executive officer.

Delta continues to expand its network in Latin America and the Caribbean with service from Atlanta to Eleuthera and Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas starting in December.
Delta Air Lines renews partnership with Chelsea FC
Delta Air Lines has inked a new three-year deal with Chelsea Football Club as the club’s official airline sponsor, again bringing together two major international brands. Delta and Chelsea FC, the English Premier League and Capital One Cup champions, first joined forces in 2012 and since then have worked together to bring the airline’s 170 million annual passengers closer to the club.
