British Airways adds new winter holiday destinations from Gatwick
British Airways is making enjoying the winter sun even easier for customers this year with extra flights from Gatwick being added to the airline’s schedules. From October 27th additional seats will be up for grabs on seven extra flights a week to Funchal, Faro, Seville and Turin.
British Airways prepares new European routes for take-off
British Airways customers will be spoilt for choice this winter, with another two new routes launching from Heathrow. From October 25th British Airways will start flying three times a week to Reykjavik in Iceland and twice a week to Salzburg in Austria, from December 5th.

British Airways has announced that the A380 will make a daily appearance on the Heathrow to Singapore route, from winter this year. The airline already operates a double-daily flight from London to Singapore and the A380 flies three times a week on the route.

Gatwick reorganises terminal operations as airport grows
Gatwick Airport has conducted a strategic review of its terminal operations and has announced a plan to operate airlines out of single terminals in the future, as part of its bid to ease passenger journeys and simplify operations. Gatwick’s two largest carriers, easyJet and British Airways are the first to announce moves, with easyJet consolidating its operations out of the North Terminal, instead of being spread across both South and North, and British Airways moving its operation to the South Terminal.

British Airways has opened the latest of its revamped lounges, this time at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. The new business class lounge will measure 400sqm and accommodate up to 105 guests. The new lounge, which was designed by international interiors group Graven, will reflect the style and elegance of the airline’s flagship Galleries lounges at Heathrow Terminal 5.
British Airways welcomes rail companies into fold with single ticket journeys
Britain’s biggest scheduled airline and two train companies are making international travel easier for their customers in Wales and the West of England. A single booking will now combine air and rail travel, with hassle-free connections, thanks to a new partnership between British Airways, Heathrow Express and First Great Western. From December 5th these tickets will be available to book through travel agents for travel from 11 First Great Western stations.
