Boeing and TUI Travel sign aircraft maintenance deal
Boeing and TUI Travel have announced the carrier’s purchase of Boeing’s Maintenance Performance Toolbox to greatly enhance maintenance efficiency on TUI Travel’s entire Boeing fleet, including 737-800s, 737 Classics, 757-200s, 767-300ERs and 747-400s. The announcement is just prior to the annual MRO Americas aviation maintenance conference.
Boeing signs $895 million deal with Angola Airlines
Boeing and Angola flag carrier TAAG Linhas Aereas de Angola (Angola Airlines) have finalised an order for three additional 777-300ER (Extended Range) airplanes. The order, valued at $895 million at list prices, also includes purchase rights for three additional 777-300ERs.
New luxury interior for Boeing Business Jets
Boeing Business Jets has unveiled the latest BBJ to enter service at the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) in Shanghai. The airplane, a 737-700 with -800 wings and other modifications for longer range, was delivered earlier this month to a private businessman in the United States.

Boeing, Airbus and Embraer have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on the development of drop-in, affordable aviation biofuels. The three leading airframe manufacturers agreed to seek collaborative opportunities to speak in unity to government, biofuel producers and other key stakeholders to support, promote and accelerate the availability of sustainable new jet fuel sources.
Boeing to Showcase 787 Dreamliner at 2012 FIDAE Air Show
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the world’s most advanced passenger airplane, will make its Chilean debut as the centerpiece at the FIDAE 2012 International Air and Space Fair in Santiago, Chile, March 27-30. Boeing also plans to display the advanced capabilities of its F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter with a cockpit demonstrator at the show.
Boeing delivers 747-8 Intercontinental VIP airplane
Boeing has celebrated a major achievement in the effort to create a Queen of the Skies for the 21st Century, delivering the first 747-8 Intercontinental VIP airplane to an undisclosed customer. The airplane, which was delivered with a minimal interior, will enter service in 2014 after its VIP interior is installed.
Pakistan Airlines cements deal for five 777-300ER aircraft with Boeing
Boeing and Pakistan International Airlines have announced a firm order for five 777-300ER (extended range) airplanes. Valued at nearly $1.5 billion at list prices, the order also includes purchase rights to Pakistan International Airlines for five additional 777-300ERs.
Singapore Airlines Cargo links with Boeing for maintenance deal
Boeing and Singapore Airlines Cargo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, have announced they have entered into a maintenance, engineering, and planning agreement. As a result, Boeing will provide GoldCare coverage for the cargo carrier’s fleet of 13 Boeing 747-400 Freighters.
Boeing concludes Lion Air mega-order
Boeing and Jakarta-based Lion Air have finalised a firm order for 201 737 MAXs and 29 Next-Generation 737-900ERs (extended range). With orders for 230 airplanes valued at $22.4 billion at list prices, this deal is the largest commercial airplane order ever in Boeing’s history by both dollar value and total number of airplanes.

The visit is part of Boeing’s Dream Tour.
