United places $14.7bn order with Boeing
Boeing has announced an order by United Continental and its wholly owned subsidiary, United Air Lines, for 150 737 airplanes, including 100 of the new 737 MAX 9. United, the largest airline in the world by traffic, is the latest carrier to choose the newest member of the 737 family, which today eclipsed 10,000 orders overall.

Boeing has forecast a $2.4 trillion market for commercial aviation services as this large industry sector continues to grow over the next 20 years. At the Farnborough Air Show, Lou Mancini, senior vice president, commercial aviation services, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said the market for services is expected to grow at an annual rate of four percent in the next two decades, with growing opportunities to help aviation customers succeed in a highly competitive marketplace.
TUI Travel signs long-term Dreamliner maintenance deal at Farnborough
Boeing and the Europe-based TUI Travel have signed a five-year agreement to provide 787 Dreamliner flight, maintenance and cabin safety training. Boeing also announced at the Farnborough International Airshow it will place a second 787 full-flight simulator at its European training headquarters at London Gatwick to support the training requirements of the TUI Group and European 787 customers.
GE Capital Aviation Services orders 100 Boeing 737s at Farnborough
Boeing has confirmed a commitment by GE Capital Aviation Services, the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of General Electric, to purchase 75 737 MAX 8s and 25 Next-Generation 737-800s. Revealing the details at the Farnborough International Airshow, the manufacturer said commitment builds on the momentum for the 737 MAX.

Boeing and Air Lease Corporation announced earlir a firm order for 60 737 MAX 8 and 15 737 MAX 9 airplanes, with reconfirmation rights for 25 additional 737 MAXs. The order, with a list-price value of $7.2 billion, represents the first 737 MAX order by a leasing company.

Albaugh to step down as head of Boeing Commercial Airplanes
Boeing chairman Jim McNerney has confirmed James Albaugh will step down as head of the Commercial Airplanes division later this year, after 37 years of service with the company. He will be replaced by Raymond Conner, who presently occupies the role of senior vice president, sales and customer support for the division.

Boeing today announced it has expanded its Flight Services business in China, greatly enhancing training capacity for airlines in the region. With the introduction of an advanced 787 Dreamliner training suite for pilot and maintenance training, and a newly-installed 747-400 full-flight simulator, the company is tripling its offerings at the Boeing Flight Services Shanghai training campus.
Boeing delivers Air Lease Corporation’s first next-generation 737-800
Boeing celebrated its first new airplane delivery to Air Lease Corporation (ALC) from their order placed during the 2010 Farnborough Air Show. The Los Angeles-based leasing company took delivery of a Next-Generation 737-800, which will be leased from ALC and operated by Korean Air.
EVA Air to purchase seven Boeing 777-300ER aircraft
EVA Air has confirmed it will add seven more brand-new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to its fleet. EVA president K.W. Chang, Boeing Commercial Airplanes senior vice president of sales Ray Conner and GE vice chairman John Rice signed the deal in Taipei earlier.
