Boeing Completes Acquisition of Inmedius
Boeing has announced it has completed the acquisition of Inmedius, a provider of software applications and services for managing and sharing information and learning content. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Boeing Company reported first-quarter net income rose to $0.9 billion, or $1.22 per share, on revenue of $19.4 billion. Earnings per share rose 56 per cent, reflecting continued strong core performance across the company’s businesses, which more than offset higher pension expense.

Boeing delivers 4,000th next-generation 737
Boeing executives and more than 500 employees, suppliers, union representatives and government officials joined China Southern Airlines to celebrate the 4,000th Next-Generation 737 at a special event today at Seattle’s Boeing Field. The 4,000th Next-Generation 737 jetliner off the 737 production line in Renton, Wash., will be delivered next week to China Southern Airlines, headquartered in Guangzhou, China.

The Boeing 747-8 is approved for operations at 200 airports around the world – less than six months after entering service. To date, 63 airports around the world are supporting revenue flights from 14 in-service 747-8 Freighters operated by five carriers. The approval shows the newest member of the 747 family can operate safely within an airport environment, accounting for regulatory requirements, clearances, pavement loading and parking requirements.
