QANTAS BOOSTS TASMAN FLYING FOR CUSTOMERS OVER SUMMER HOLIDAY SEASON

Qantas is announcing more flights for customers between Australia and New Zealand, with the airline boosting its capacity across the Tasman by up to 20 per cent throughout December 2025 and January 2026*.  The additional flights provide more options and greater choice for customers travelling between the two countries during the peak summer holiday period, with around 60,000 additional seats compared to the same time last year.

The specially created graphic showcases Australian pride on an international stage and captures the essence of the iconic green and gold Aussie spirit, solidifying the Flying Kangaroo’s proud position as the official carrier of the 2024 Australian Olympic and Paralympic Teams.

Qantas Frequent Flyers will have access to over 20 million more reward seats with the launch of Classic Plus Flight Rewards, a new way for members to use their Qantas Points to book flights. This change is one of the biggest ever expansions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program in its 35-year history and will make it easier to travel to places like London, Tokyo, New York and Singapore with Qantas Points, even during peak times.

Victoria’s Squeaky Beach has been named ‘Best Australian Beach’ by Australian beach expert, Brad Farmer AM. Squeaky Beach is the first Victorian beach to claim the coveted ‘Best Australian Beach’ title after nudging out The Farm in New South Wales, which finished second, and Australia’s southernmost beach, Cockle Creek in Tasmania, which took the bronze.
