SNCF takes up contract option for 40 additional Euroduplex very high speed trains
Patrick Kron, Chairman and CEO of Alstom, has declared his great satisfaction at the SNCF’s signing of the contract option for 40 additional double-deck Euroduplex very high speed trains.
Alstom to design and test its ERTMS-based train control solution in Denmark
Banedanmark, the Danish railway infrastructure owner, has awarded Alstom a contract worth around €25 million to design and test Atlas, its ERTMS/ETCS on-board Level 2 solution. This solution meets the latest ERTMS standard and will be potentially deployed on 789 trains, mainly non Alstom-made ones, operated by 41 Operators on the Fjerbane Danish network.
Alstom to supply the trackwork for extension of East-West metro line Singapore
The Land Transport Authority of Singapore has awarded Alstom a contract for the East-West metro line extension - known as the Tuas West extension - worth around €40 million.
Alstom to supply the extension of Line 3 of the Athens metro
Attiko Metro, the owner of the Athens metro infrastructure, has signed with a consortium of French, Greek and Italian companies, Alstom Transport S.A, J&P Avax S.A. and Ghella S.p.A, a contract to supply the extension of Line 3 of the Athens metro to the Port of Piraeus.
Alstom and Transmashholding present their new tramway to Moscow Mayor
Alstom and Transmashholding (TMH) have presented in Moscow on 27 February to Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, a modern high-speed low-floor tramway designed for Russian cities. The presentation was held in presence of Patrick Kron, Chairman and CEO of Alstom.
Alstom to supply five more Regiolis regional trains to Pays de la Loire region
The SNCF, on behalf of the Pays de la Loire Region, has just placed an order with Alstom to supply five regional trains from the Coradia Polyvalent range for some €25 million. The Pays de Loire Region now operates 54 Alstom regional trains and has already ordered 15 Coradia Polyvalent trains with an average seating capacity of 216 (in a length of 72 metres): 10 hybrid dual-voltage trainsets and 5 electric dual-voltage trainsets.
Alstom and Cofely Besix FM to provide maintenance service for Dubai tramway
The Roads and Transport Authority of the Government of Dubai (RTA) has awarded a 13-year maintenance contract for the Al Sufouh tramway in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to a consortium comprised of Alstom and Cofely Besix Facility Management (FM).
Alstom to supply 34 Metropolis trains and signaling upgrade to Singapore metro
The Land Transport Authority of Singapore has awarded Alstom a contract worth around €240 million to provide new trains for two metro lines, the Circle Line (CCL) and North East Line (NEL), along with signaling upgrade for both lines.
Alstom will supply a new full signalling system to Denmark
Banedanmark, the Danish railway infrastructure owner, has awarded Alstom a contract worth around €300 million to replace the existing signaling system in the East region of Denmark with Atlas, Alstom’s ERTMS based signalling solution. It will be implemented on 12 intercity and regional lines in Sealand and Fyn regions which cover half the country.
Alstom to provide signalling for Phase 2 of East European LGV
Réseau Ferré de France (RFF) awarded the signalling work for phase 2 of the East European LGV (high-speed rail line) to a consortium comprised of Alstom Transport, the lead partner, and Legrand SA. The total contract is valued at nearly €40 million and Alstom Transport’s share amounts to €30 million.
Alstom delivers first Citadis tramset to Greater Dijon urban area
The first Citadis tramset for the Dijon urban area arrived in the new operating and maintenance centre in Dijon on 26 January. The tramset had left the Alstom site in La Rochelle for the Dijon region six days earlier.
Alstom receives a €50 million contract for commuter fleets in the UK
Porterbrook, one of the three major rolling stock leasing companies in the UK, has selected Alstom to create a fleet of 36 five-car suburban trains to run on South West Trains routes. This new fleet will proceed from the conversion of existing Alstom-built fleets based on the Alstom Coradia platform.
