flynas, Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost carrier, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 75 A320neo family aircraft and 15 A330-900. This strategic agreement will expand the airline’s capacity, range and enhance its overall fleet capabilities.

Flying to more countries than any other airline, Turkish Airlines has added a new currency to its financing portfolio in line with its natural currency hedging policy, thanks to its diversified revenue structure. Three Airbus A350 aircraft that joined the flag carrier’s fleet between May and July 2024 are financed in Chinese Yuan by AVIC International Leasing and CCB Financial Leasing.
Japan Airlines Signs Purchase Agreement for Airbus A350-900 and A321neo Aircraft
Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. have announced that it has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for an additional 20 Airbus A350-900 aircraft and 11 Airbus A321neo aircraft. JAL had previously announced the introduction of these aircraft on March 21, 2024. The newly acquired A350-900 aircraft, currently operating on domestic routes, will be introduced to international routes starting in FY2027 to expand and enhance JAL’s international network. Additionally, the A321neo aircraft, which will be introduced for the first time by JAL, will replace the Boeing 767 aircraft currently operating on domestic routes, with the introduction starting in 2028. These aircrafts will primarily be deployed on routes to and from Haneda Airport.

Virgin Atlantic Completes Fleet Transformation with New Airbus A330-900 Order
The seven new A330-900s will be delivered from 2027 and are being purchased directly from Airbus by Virgin Atlantic as the airline increases the number of owned aircraft in its fleet. This new order builds upon the initial A330neo order made in 2019, when Virgin Atlantic became the first UK airline to order the aircraft type. It takes the airline’s total A330neo fleet to 19, cementing its strategic partnership with Airbus. Virgin Atlantic currently operates five A330-900’s flying to destinations including New York, Boston and Miami, with a further three to be delivered later this year and four more by the end of 2026.
