Air Europa adds Colombian capital Bogotá to schedule
Air Europa will launch a new daily service from London to Bogota via Madrid June 27th next year. Following the announcement of a new route to Asuncion, Paraguay, last month, this news is further indication of Air Europa’s strategy for growth and expansion over the coming year, as the airline seeks to fill the few remaining gaps in its South American network.
Air Europa unveils new flights to Paraguay
Air Europa, the Latin American specialist airline, has announced a new twice weekly service from London to Asuncion via Madrid, to be launched this December. The route is now available for booking with Air Europa. The Madrid to Asuncion flight will be operated using an Airbus 330-200, with capacity for 299 passengers, 24 in Business Class.
Stewart takes seat on BAR UK leadership board
Colin Stewart, the UK general manager of Air Europa, has been appointed to the role of director with the Board of Airline Representatives UK. BAR UK has 12 Directors, elected by its more than 70 members, and is the industry association representing the majority of airlines operating to the UK.
Air Europa launches first Dreamliner flight on Madrid-Miami route
Air Europa, Spain’s largest privately-owned airline, this week inaugurated its first scheduled flight with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which will now operate its Madrid-Miami route. This route is currently operating five times a week, although it will become a daily flight as of this July.
Air Europa places $3.6bn Dreamliner order with Boeing
Boeing and Air Europa have announced an order for 14 787-9 Dreamliners, valued at $3.6 billion at list prices, the largest ever Boeing widebody order from a Spanish carrier. The order was booked in December 2014 and was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website. Air Europa now has a combined total of 22 787-8s and 787-9s on order as it continues its transition to an all-Boeing long-haul fleet.
Air Europa to add fourth weekly Bolivia flight
Air Europa, the Latin American specialist and Spain’s largest privately owned airline, is launching a new weekly flight to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The Spanish carrier is the only European airline flying to Bolivia, and from December 14th, will now fly a total of four times weekly to the South American country, from London Gatwick via Madrid Barajas.
Air Europa sponsors British Padel
Air Europa has signed an agreement today to become the sole lead sponsor of British Padel. This initiative comes in a context of rapid expansion of the airline, which has in the past 12 months added new routes to San Juan in Puerto Rico, Santiago de Chile and Sao Paulo.

The Foreign Airlines Association UK (FAA) announced last week that Colin Stewart, UK General Manager, Air Europa, will take over as its new Chairman, having served as Vice Chairman since 2013.
Air Europa marks 5th UK anniversary in style
Spain’s largest privately owned airline, Air Europa, has celebrated its fifth year of operations from the UK with a cocktail reception for 150 leading representatives from the British trade. The event was held at the prestigious club The Penthouse, Leicester Square, in the heart of London’s West End, with spectacular views over the city, and guests were treated to delicious canapés and drinks.
Etihad Airways signs Air Europa codeshare deal
UAE flag carrier Etihad Airways and Spanish airline Air Europa have signed a codeshare agreement which will see both carriers significantly enhance access to and from Spain, the UAE and to destinations across globe. Under the terms of the agreement and subject to regulatory approvals, Air Europa plans to commence a three times a week direct service between Madrid and Abu Dhabi in late 2014.
Air Europa adds new Santiago flghts
Air Europa has launched a new route to Santiago, Chile, via Salvador, Brazil. From the March 31st 2014, the airline will fly three times weekly to this modern city. Air Europa will also increase operations to Salvador, Brazil, from four to five flights per week as of March 27th 2014.
Air Europa flies into San Juan, Puerto Rico
Latin American and Caribbean specialist Air Europa has announced the launch of a new route to San Juan, Puerto Rico. From May 22nd 2014, the airline will fly twice weekly to the sun-kissed Caribbean Island, from London Gatwick via Madrid Barajas.
