Air Canada Rouge launches Toronto-Gatwick service
Air Canada has launched a new non-stop service between Toronto and London-Gatwick. The new service will operate daily with an Air Canada rouge Boeing 767-300ER. “London-Heathrow is already Air Canada’s largest international gateway with flights to eight Canadian cities, so we are pleased to expand to London-Gatwick in time for the summer, when millions of vacationers are travelling between Canada and the UK,” said Benjamin Smith, president, passenger airlines, Air Canada.

Air Canada flight diverted to Calgary following turbulence injuries
A Canada-bound plane has been forced to make an emergency landing after being hit by severe turbulence. Some 21 passengers, including three children, were injured on board the Air Canada flight AC088 from Shanghai to Toronto, with the aircraft diverted to Calgary after the turbulence hit.

Air Canada has announced that it will offer more daily flights from the UK to Canada than any other airline, with up to 88 non-stop services per week to eight major Canadian cities scheduled for summer 2015. From London Heathrow, Air Canada will operate direct flights to Toronto four times a day, daily to Montréal, Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, Ottawa and St. John’s, and three times per week to Edmonton.

Air Canada has operated its first non-stop flight between Toronto Pearson and Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. Service to Mont-Tremblant will be operated four times per week until March 30, 2015 by Air Canada Express with a 74-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
