The Americas Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (AIBTM) has teamed up with technology specialist GenieConnect for a mobile multi-event app that will enable buyers and exhibitors to view their appointments, create a personalised agenda, access social media, give direct feedback on education sessions, receive special alerts and more during the show in real-time.

The IBTM global meetings industry research presented its first report on the Americas at AIBTM last week with the highlights concluding that whilst the majority of US business tends to stay in the US, albeit widespread throughout different states, over 40% organized events in Europe, and 22% in Asia, the remaining taking place in the regions of MENA, the Gulf, Africa and Australasia.

Europe delivers prize incentives to hosted buyers at AIBTM
The first ‘Market Focus SPOTLIGHT on Europe’ at AIBTM with some 15 exhibitors participating will also see Barcelona Convention Bureau, Dublin Convention Bureau, Ireland, Visit London, Prague Convention Bureau and Hungarian Tourism providing prizes for a draw to be held at the end of the session among the attending Hosted Buyers who selected Europe as a preferred destination to place business in their application to register.
