The first commercial flight has taken off from the UK for Malta following the islands’ reopened of its borders to Britain.

“We are thrilled that British travellers are once again taking off for their holidays to Malta!

“Our islands have been too quiet, and we are excited to welcome the first of many UK arrivals when the first flight of the day with easyJet from Manchester Airport lands in Malta,” commented Tolene Van Der Merwe, director, Malta Tourist Board, UK & Ireland.
