Tourism Australia announced a partnership with Singapore Airlines this week at World Travel Market, confirming the carrier will be the official European airline partner for Corroboree West, a six day training and mega familiarisation event for qualified Aussie Specialists which will take place on the Gold Coast in October 2017.
Over 300 frontline travel sellers from the USA, Canada, Brazil, the UK, Germany, France and Italy will have the opportunity to attend Corroboree West, with the European agents flying down to Australia in comfort and style with award winning Singapore Airlines.
At the event agents will receive specialised training, participate in sales workshops and experience Australian tourism product in the Gold Coast region, and at destinations around the country as part of a programme of post familiarisations.
The inaugural Corroboree West brings agents from Europe and the Americas together, building on the previous Corroboree formats from both Europe and North America.
This is the second time TA has partnered with Singapore Airlines on a Corroboree event.
Agents will need to qualify as Aussie Specialists before they apply for one of the 300 places on Corroboree West 2017.
John O’Sullivan, managing director of Tourism Australia explained: “Corroboree West gives Aussie Specialists the opportunity to build on their knowledge of Australia, helping them to sell the destination even more effectively when they return home.
“It is an important event for us and we are delighted to have Singapore Airlines on-board as our airline partner for Europe.”
Details of how to register for Corroboree West will be announced in early 2017.
