UKinbound has revealed the appointment of Nathan Alemany as its first ever north of England account manager.
Alemany’s appointment is a strategic business development by UKinbound, aimed at developing and growing the association’s northern footprint.
Initially, he will be harnessing opportunities across Chester and Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester and the Lakes, with further expansions into Yorkshire and the north east planned.
During his time at VisitBritain he held the role of senior partnerships marketing manager, where he transformed the authority’s partnership model, and previously as manager – eventBritain, where he actively worked on over 200 bids.
Alemany commented: “I’m delighted to be spearheading UKinbound’s development in northern England and I’m looking forward to expanding our presence and membership base across the region.”
Resourceful, creative and goal-orientated, Alemany brings to the role over 19 years of experience in the UK’s tourism and hospitality sector.
Most recently, he was head of marketing and industry partnerships at the 2018 International Business festival, where he led the successful re-brand of the event.
Prior to this Alemany was regional head of marketing EMEA at Travelport and spend seven years at VisitBritain.
UKinbound chief executive, Joss Croft, commented: “UKinbound is committed to supporting tourism businesses across all four corners of the UK and the appointment of Nathan is an important step forward in our strategic long-term regional development plan.
“Tourism is a key revenue earner for many businesses across northern England and I’m confident that Nathan will drive forward our interests here.”
