Trafalgar launches first tour of Texas, USA Austin will provide one of the highlights on the new Trafalgar tour

Trafalgar is taking its leading brand of guided holidays to the Lone Star State for the first time, with a ten-day trip to Texas commencing in April 2017.

Trafalgar’s all new Adventures of the Lone Star State holiday is a celebration of Texas’ old-West history and pioneering spirit; and a showcase of the diverse landscapes, thrilling cities, unforgettable cuisine and warm hospitality that make this destination such an amazing place to visit.

The ten day trip takes in the glittering Texan cities of Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston, plus, among others, Fort Worth, which was once known as the biggest and busiest livestock-trading centre in the South West; the beautifully preserved German village of Fredericksburg; and Bandera, the “Cowboy Capital of the World”.

Highlights include a visit to the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame; a traditional “Longhorn Cattle Drive”; learning about the renowned law enforcement agency at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum; exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park; a visit to The Alamo to learn about the pivotal battle in the Texas Revolution of 1836; a guided tour of Minute Maid Park, home to the Houston Astros baseball team; a visit to the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historic Park, the Texas White House of the 36th President; and a behind-the-scenes look at the Houston Space Centre.
