Tourism New Zealand has appointed Pip Casey to the key role of regional manager, UK and Europe, to be based in London.
Casey has over 15 years of brand marketing and commercial business experience behind her and previously held the role of marketing director at Fonterra, a New Zealand multinational dairy company.
A graduate from Otago University, she was marketing manager for six years with Danone - Frucor Beverages in New Zealand.
She is also no stranger to the UK having worked as brand manager for Glaxo SmithKline in London and the supermarket chain Sainsbury’s.
Tourism New Zealand chief executive, Kevin Bowler, said the UK and Europe role is critical for Tourism New Zealand and it is vital they have someone with global knowledge and marketing experience who can bring high value visitors to New Zealand.
“Pip’s knowledge of New Zealand, combined with her extensive overseas experience, makes her the ideal person for this job”, explained Bowler.
Casey added: “I’m delighted to be back in the UK to help Tourism New Zealand showcase the country to these key markets alongside the travel trade, the media and our stakeholders.
“In 2016, we expect to see even more visitors from the UK and Europe who want to experience the incredible adventures, wildlife, scenery and food that make New Zealand so attractive.”
